For accountants and BAS agents

Your clients' books, ready to lodge.

Send Clearsum the files that slow your team down. Catch-ups and ongoing bookkeeping done inside your client's Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks file, returned reconciled with a short list of queries answered. You keep the tax and BAS work.

Working together

Built to sit alongside your practice

No overlap, no poaching

Clearsum doesn't lodge tax returns or BAS and doesn't give tax advice. Your clients stay your clients.

Inside the file you manage

Work happens as a user in your client's Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks file, with your chart of accounts and coding rules.

Fixed prices clients accept

Catch-ups from $349 and monthly from $300, quoted upfront. The client usually pays Clearsum directly.

What comes back

Clean files, not more work

  • Every bank and card account reconciled to the statement
  • Transactions coded to your chart of accounts, with GST codes applied for your review
  • Personal and unclear items confirmed with the client
  • A short handover note listing anything that needs your judgement

Good fits

  • Clients who arrive at tax time with a year of uncoded transactions
  • Clients you'd like on monthly or quarterly bookkeeping, but your team is at capacity
  • Peak-season overflow you'd rather not hire for

Questions from practices

Common questions

Will you contact my client directly?

Only to quote, collect records and answer queries about the bookkeeping. Anything about tax, BAS or advice goes back to you.

Who's responsible for the BAS and tax return?

You are. Clearsum isn't a registered tax or BAS agent, so lodgement and advice stay with your practice. The books are kept ready for your review.

How fast is turnaround?

Catch-ups are usually returned within 10 business days of receiving access and records. Monthly and quarterly work is done on a set schedule agreed with you and the client.

Who pays?

Usually the client pays Clearsum directly at the quoted fixed price. If you'd rather bill the client yourself, ask about practice billing.

Are you insured?

Yes. Clearsum holds professional indemnity insurance.

Got a file that's been sitting in the pile?

A 15-minute call is enough to see if it's a fit. Or email jamie@clearsum.com.au with the client's name and roughly how far behind they are.
